The Artist

Welcome to Artikeet! My name is Sofia Cina and I am an artist based in Ontario, Canada. I work with acrylic paints and love to explore various ways to combine natural beauty with works of art.

I use bright, vibrant colours alongside muted tones to give a sense of comfort to my paintings and highlight the landscapes that are often the centre of my work.

The Artworks

Each piece requires a lengthy process that takes a considerable amount of time spent on thought and production. Usually, I paint landscapes or animals that evoke a certain mood, or simply catch my eye when admiring nature outside. I also draw in graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, or pencil crayon. Some of my greatest works were inspired by a random whim, scrolling through the Internet, or a delightful passage read in a novel.
